Finders Fee for New Corporate Subscriptions
Because a majority of GSGI subscribers and editors are already a part of the expat business or social network, many of our best leads (for new subscribers and new editors) come from them.
Now, if you help us successfully contact and secure a new corporate subscriber, and that introduction results in their becoming a customer of the GSGI, we will pay you 10% of our net receipts from them, for a period of five years.
We'll do the rest.
Here's How It Works:
If the Finder (that would be you) successfully brings us Widget, Ltd, and Widget subscribes for £2,000, the original Finder (you again) receives £200. If there are £1,000 in advisories, of which the editor or editors receive £700 and GSGI receives £300, we would give the Finder(you) 10 % of our part, so that's another £30 to you (in that example).
This doesn't necessarily mean you have to pack your briefcase and tromp down to the CEO or HR office of said potential corporate subscriber (although you're welcome to, and if you'd like us to send you some brochures and info for that purpose, we'd be delighted).
However, if you happen to have associates, friends, or even an unexpected dinner partner you suddenly think would be interested - any of the above who might be in a position and willing to write a letter (or make a call) of introduction to the appropriate person, recommending the GSGI and helping us get in the door - if all of that does result in a subscription, you would receive 10% of whatever our revenues are from that company each year for five years.
We’ll reassess after the first five years, but it seems to us that this is an important way to build the GSGI clientele at the beginning in order to make the whole thing grow. In many cases, those who will be the best corporate contacts will be people expats are running into anyway at parties or school events.
Is there a catch? We don't think so...
There are, of course, a number of detailed terms and conditions that go with this incentive -- but we hope you feel that they are fair and sensible. If not, we shall be happy to discuss with you how they might be made so. The terms and conditions are:
- Our judgment is final as to which of our contacts or customers made the introduction to any particular company. We will accept, of course, the adjudication of the company concerned should that be offered. If you want to know if we have already made contact with a particular company, ask us; if we are in discussions but have not yet concluded a relationship with them, we may welcome your help. If we feel that more than one of you contributed to the opening of a relationship, we will divide the incentive between you.
- We will let you know the results of any introductions which you provide us with -- which may mean we don't correspond with you for a while if, after the initial contact, we don't hear anything from the company concerned. Please feel free to ask us at any time how your introductions are getting on.
- Our net receipts from any particular company are defined as the income which we receive from them and from their employees, net of any amounts which we paid to our editors or others in respect of work which we performed specifically for the company or its employees.
- The date of commencement of our relationship with a company is the day on which we first receive a payment from them.
- We will make one payment to you each year, once our draft accounts have been finalised. Our year end is 31st January, and we would expect to make payments before the end of June.
- A judgment is final as to any other matters of fact of opinion (such as which element or elements of a disparate company have formed a relationship with us), although in reaching this judgment we shall take into account any relevant evidence.
- If this agreement ever the subject of a dispute, it shall be interpreted in the light of English law.
You can take comfort, we think, from the general observation that we shall be so delighted to be receiving those revenues that we shall be over the moon at the prospect of sharing them with you.
