Barbados Ministry of Education

All Barbados schools go through a process to become licensed through the Barbados Ministry of Education. This is referred to by most of the schools as both licensing and accreditation. Although it should be said that results in various schools can be quite good, it is not clear whether rigorous inspections or accreditations continue to take place after a school is established.

As a general rule, and as is stated elsewhere in this Guide, it’s important to remember that although results can tell much about a school (exam results, where students go after graduation etc), “only the transparent processes of formalized dispassionate scrutiny can assure parents of the stability and bone-deep quality of an apparently good school”. (British School Inspections and Accreditations )
